Star Wars 9 Movie Review: Story

The ninth movie in the Star War series is both an end and a beginning. Answer some persistent questions asked by frustrated fans since the appearance of the first film in the new trilogy: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). Uncover some mysteries and give birth to some more. It may seem like the best Star Wars 9 Movie Review of the modern era for some, and for others, including the current critic, it could be a disappointing experience overall.

The loss of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in The Last Jedi (2017) and the death in real life of Carrie Fisher, who played the iconic Princess Leia, added emotional seriousness. Given that connection, and compared to The Force Awakens, where the death of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) really hit the audience in the bowels, the current film feels light in contrast. It lacks the dramatic elegance and sensitive core of the first two films of the current trilogy.

There are reports that Emperor Palpatine, who for a long time was thought to be dead, is actually alive and maybe even his old skills. Both Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) want to study the truth behind these rumors for their own reasons. Until, the Resistance wants to find out what the opposition plans next and send Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac), as well as Chewie (Jonas Suotamo) abroad, the Millennium Falcon to find out. They have their own set of experiences before joining Rey. Our three protagonists embark on a search to find a mystical object that guides them to the whereabouts of Palpatine. Their trip takes them to the icy mountainous planet Kijimi, where Poe meets former associate Zorii Bliss, a companion, "spice corridor" and also the desert planet of Pasadena and the ocean moon Kef Bir. The level of the item that has been put into the creation of such diverse worlds is truly amazing. The portions of Kef Bir, seen in IMAX, really make you feel like you are in the middle of a gigantic ocean with waves a mile high that threaten to crash.

They meet the rebel leader Jannah (Naomi Ackie), in Kef Bir, although the character is not as developed as he should have been later. That is very much the problem with the movie per se. For example, Keri Russell, who plays Zorii Bliss, doesn't even show his face, since he's always behind a helmet. Old faces from past movies as well as characters that died to continue to appear without really adding anything significant to the plot's development. One suspects that they were added to maintain the nostalgia value of the film.

Star War 9 Movie Review offers a visual splendor different from everything we have seen in recent times and can be seen in repetition only by the extraordinary worlds on display. The sequences of action involving lightsabers, the various persecutions in space, and the final battle scene also leave you breathless. But, strangely, the dramatic talents of his humble cast lie greatly underutilized. What is missing from the film is a great boost, a great ending that offers an emotional catharsis to viewers, but that does not happen. Both Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver do not have much room to exercise their acting skills. The random script has also led to a careless edition. Kylo Ren lands conveniently were required from nowhere. It is believed that a much-loved character is dead and then mysteriously is alive. Director JJ Abrams seems to have been in a hurry to finish things. Given the delicacy of the first two films, this feels like a product hastily compared.
